value portraits aka the worst project ever dont ever make us do it ever again

i dont even know what happened to this picture????
like it was actually really good at first but then i just stopped because i didn't like it oopsie
to develop my drawing, i traced his face and then scribbled crap all over the back of the tracing paper and transfered it all onto the sketchbook paper by drawing on his face! it turned out backwards but oh well
after that we shaded it and drew the hair and drew whatever else we didn't get!
to find the different values we basically just went into our drawing and outlined them all. there were a lot that i forgot to put in this drawing though??? then we transfered those onto the sketchbook paper too.
i don't think i did achieve a full range of color actually hahaha...you can't really tell where they blend together? you can see the dark/light difference but not really much else. shadowing/shading stuff is actually really hard for me to do though because i've never done it like this
the work is executed neatly and crafted (sort of) neatly, but it's not well done if you know what i mean. i mean it fits into all the criteria i guess but it's not that great?? i did really well at the beginning and then didnt put in as much effort the rest of the time and bam this is the result
the obstacles i found were being bored, being even more bored, getting tired and sick of this project, and not being able to concentrate
and i overcame none of them i'm very glad this project is over
but i tried and therefore no one should criticise me

  1. Well, it isn't bad at all...it looks like the guy got punched in the right eye :p. But hey, that's the best part about being creative. You can play along however you want to.
